Louisiana Revised Statue 47:301(30) was passed in 2018 which allows Commercial Farmers to be exempt from sales tax on feed purchases. You must apply to the Louisiana Department of Revenue to obtain an identification number to give to the seller of the feed to be exempt from Louisiana sales tax.
